Niko Steel Pvt Ltd. is located on the second floor of the Badrikashram Building, which is at 109 Charni Road, right in 1st Khetwadi. It’s an old building with a lot of character, and we’ve been here for quite some time now. The area is always busy, and finding a place to park is a total nightmare, so most of us just take the train to Charni Road station. Our office is full of metal samples and piles of invoices that seem to never get smaller. We deal with steel, so things aren't always pristine and shiny around the office. It’s a practical workspace where we manage the orders and talk to the suppliers on the phone. We have some old wooden desks that have seen better days, but they are solid enough for the work. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to get around to it because there is always something else to do. We spend our days on the phone or checking the stock levels for the next order. It’s a small group of us here, and we’ve worked together for many years. We don’t have a fancy website that does much, we mostly just talk to people we know. People in the steel trade know this building well. It’s a straightforward operation. We don’t try to be anything we’re not. We just trade steel and make sure the deliveries happen on time. It has been our life for a long time.
