Nikhat Leather Garments

Our shop is on the 1st floor at number 8, right on 7th Street along Jumma Masjid Road. If you know the area, it's pretty easy to find once you get onto the right street. Nikhat Leather Garments is a busy little place. We have sewing machines going for most of the day, so there’s a constant hum in the background. The smell of leather is everywhere here; it’s something you just get used to after a week. We have rolls of material stacked against the walls and scraps on the floor that we sweep up every evening. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze with the tables and the machines, but we’ve worked out a path to walk through. The light isn't the best, so we have extra lamps over the work areas. Most of the people working here have been doing this for a long time. We talk while we work, mostly about family or what’s happening in the neighborhood. Jumma Masjid Road is always crowded, so there’s a lot of energy right outside the door. Sometimes we take a break and sit on the steps for a bit of fresh air. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. We don't have a big showroom or anything, just the workspace where everything happens. It’s exactly what it looks like, and we just keep the machines running and the work moving.
