Millstream Leathers

Millstream Leathers is tucked away at 2, Nathan Street, just off Harrington Road in Chetpet. It is a bit of a quieter area compared to the big industrial zones, but we like it that way. The building has been here for a while, and it has that old-school feel to it. When you walk in, the first thing you notice is the smell of the hides. We have stacks of leather everywhere, in all different colors and finishes. It is a bit disorganized at times, but we know where everything is. We don't have a big fancy storefront or anything like that. We are more of a workshop where things actually get made. The staff here has been working with leather for years, so they have a real feel for the material. Sometimes the narrow streets around Chetpet make it hard for bigger deliveries to reach us, but we manage. We spend our days cutting, stitching, and checking everything looks right as it comes off the benches. We don't really go in for modern marketing or trying to sound like a big corporation. We are just a local business trying to do honest work with our hands. People who know leather find their way to Nathan Street eventually. We just keep our heads down and focus on the benches. It is steady work, and we are happy to be part of the neighborhood. We take things one day at a time and keep it simple.
