New Tech Steel Ltd,Kutch

We’ve been running New Tech Steel Ltd for a while now, mostly coordinating things from our spot here at L.D.C.E. Hostel, E-115 in Navrangpura. It’s a bit of a trek between Ahmedabad and Kutch where the heavy work happens, but we make it work somehow. Dealing with steel isn’t exactly a quiet job; there’s always someone calling about a shipment or a delay at the site. We spend a lot of time on our phones and at this desk in Ahmedabad sorting out the paperwork side of things. Most days are just about making sure the trucks are moving and the orders are actually what the customers asked for. Navrangpura is a busy area, so there’s always noise outside the window which gets distracting when you’re trying to count inventory. We don't have a massive fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. It’s just us here in the hostel room setup, keeping track of the supply chain and making sure the steel gets where it needs to go. Sometimes the logistics in Kutch get messy because of the weather or the roads, so we end up staying late just to confirm a delivery. It’s honest work, even if it gets a bit chaotic during the peak season. We just try to stay on top of the piles of documents and hope the internet doesn't cut out when we're sending off the daily reports to the guys at the yard. There is always a lot of coffee involved.
