Mdc Impex Pvt. Ltd. is located over at Silver Market, which is part of the Narol Sarkhej Highway area. Specifically, we’re at No. F-21, right near the Narol Circle. It’s a very industrial part of Ahmedabad, so there are trucks everywhere and it’s usually quite dusty outside. Our office isn’t much to look at from the outside, but it’s where we handle all the logistical bits of the business. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, a few computers, and a lot of folders. The highway noise is pretty constant, so we’ve learned to talk a bit louder over the phone. We spend our days tracking shipments and talking to drivers. Sometimes the internet acts up, which is a real pain when you're trying to send out documents, but we manage. The market itself is always busy with people moving goods. We aren’t doing anything fancy here; we just focus on getting the paperwork right and making sure the containers are where they need to be. It’s a lot of back-and-forth communication. The lunch break is usually the only quiet time we get, and even then, someone is usually knocking on the door. It’s a practical place for a practical job. We’ve been at Narol Circle long enough that the local tea sellers know exactly how we like our chai. We just keep our heads down and work because there is always something that needs to be moved.
