Overseas Traders

We are up on the 6th floor of Konark Towers, which is at A/22 on Judge'S Bunglow Road. Vastrapur is a nice area, though the parking can be a real headache. Our office is fairly quiet compared to the street below. We spend most of the day looking at shipping documents and talking to agents on the phone. There are stacks of folders everywhere, mostly filled with export papers and customs forms. We have a small kitchen area where we make lunch, and usually, the whole place smells like spices around midday. Overseas Traders doesn't really do retail, so we don't get many random visitors. Most of our work is done through emails and long-distance calls. The carpet is a bit worn out in the hallway, and the desks are old wooden ones that have been with us since we started. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, just trying to keep the deliveries on track. It’s a lot of waiting for ships to dock and containers to clear. Sometimes things get delayed and we have to spend the whole night on the phone. It is a bit stressful, but we like the rhythm of it. When the sun sets over Vastrapur, the view from the window is actually quite decent. We have an old calendar on the wall that hasn't been changed in a long time.
