Sukhar Exim Pvt. Ltd. has its main office over in Ahmedabad, tucked into the Naranpura area. We’re on the 4th floor of Pawan Plaza, specifically in suites 401 through 405. It’s right across from Life Care Hospital in the Sardar Patel Colony. Most days, it is pretty busy around here with the traffic and people coming and going from the hospital. Our space is mostly just desks, computers, and a lot of files because export and import work involves a mountain of paperwork. We’ve been at this address for a while now, and the neighbors in the building know us well. Usually, the elevator is working, but sometimes it’s faster to just take the stairs if you aren’t carrying too much. We spend most of our time dealing with shipping schedules, talking to customs people, and making sure the containers are where they need to be. It isn’t always glamorous work, and some days are definitely longer than others when a shipment gets delayed or the port is backed up. We try to keep things organized, but in this business, things change fast. The office gets a bit noisy when everyone is on the phone at once trying to track down a package or talk to a client in a different time zone. We just keep at it and make sure the bills get paid and the goods move from point A to point B without too much of a headache. That’s pretty much the daily life for us here in Gujarat.
