Tube Technocrat

Our place is located out in Phase-4 of the GIDC at Plot No. 802/a. If you know the area, you know it’s mostly just rows of industrial buildings and trucks moving in and out all day. It gets pretty loud around here with all the machinery running, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We spend most of our hours on the shop floor dealing with tubes and metal. It’s dusty work, and in the summers, the heat inside the shed can get a bit much, but we just keep the fans going and get on with it. There isn’t much to look at in our office, just some desks and a lot of technical manuals stacked up in the corner. We focus on the production side of things mostly. Sometimes we have to wait on shipments to arrive, which can be frustrating, but that’s the nature of being in an industrial zone. The guys in the back have a rhythm down for how we handle the orders. We aren’t a big operation, just a handful of us making sure the specs are right. We eat our lunch together near the front gate when it’s quiet. It’s a straightforward business without any bells or whistles. We’ve been at this plot for a good stretch now, and we know our neighbors well. It’s just honest work in a busy part of town. We don't do anything flashy, just the work we have in front of us.
