Bhagwati Industries

You can find Bhagwati Industries at Plot No. L/331/8, which is over in Phase 1 of the GIDC, right behind Lions School. It’s a simple building. We don't have many employees, just a few of us who know how to run the equipment. We spend most of our time on the shop floor. The office is really just a desk in the corner with some old ledgers. We don't go in for fancy computer systems if we can help it. Most of our work comes from word of mouth. People around the GIDC know we are here. We deal with whatever jobs come through the door, usually stuff that needs a bit of cutting or welding. It gets pretty warm inside during the afternoons. We have a small tea stall nearby where we go for breaks. The floor is concrete and has some cracks, but it holds up. We don’t try to be something we aren't. We are just a small industrial unit trying to keep the machines running and the customers satisfied. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait it out, which is just part of being in this area. We take things one day at a time. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy enough to stay out of trouble.
