Mittal Steel Industries

Mittal Steel Industries is located at 51, Shanker Chambers. It’s an older building, but it works for what we need. We’ve been here for a long while now. Dealing in steel is a straightforward business. It’s heavy, it’s loud, and it takes a lot of work to move. Our office in the chambers is where we coordinate everything. It’s often a bit cluttered with papers and samples. We don’t spend much on decorations because we’re usually too busy with the day-to-day tasks. People who work here have a lot of experience with the metal trade. We don't use fancy titles or have a big human resources department. It's just a few of us making sure the orders are right and the trucks are loaded. Sometimes the lift in the building is slow, but we’ve gotten used to it. We know most of the other tenants in Shanker Chambers too. It’s a community of small businesses. We don’t try to act like we’re a giant multinational. We’re a local steel company. We have our good days and our bad days, just like anyone else. When things get busy, everyone chips in to help. We value the fact that our customers can just call us up and talk to a real person. It’s how we’ve always done things and we don’t see a reason to change it now. Just hard work and steel. We don't have a lot of time for sitting around talking about the future of the industry. We just need to make sure this week's shipments are ready.
