We are over at Avalon House on the S.G. Highway, not too far from the Karnavati Club. Bodakdev is a good area but the highway noise never really stops. Our office is a straightforward space where we handle the agency work. We have a few desks for the supervisors and a waiting area for the guards who come for their pay or for new assignments. It isn't a very large office, but it serves our purpose. Most of the day is spent checking the logs and making sure everyone showed up for their shifts at the various buildings we look after. Ahmedabad heat can be tough, so we spend a lot of time making sure the water cooler is full. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Most of our clients come to us because they saw us working at another building. It’s a lot of management and talking to people. Sometimes things get a bit disorganized when we are short-staffed, but we always figure it out. We aren't trying to be a huge corporation. We just want to do our job properly and make sure the people we hire are looked after. It’s a busy life but it is what we know how to do best. We keep a lot of physical files in the cabinets because we don't trust the computer for everything. The traffic outside is always moving fast, making it hard to cross the road.
