Metso Minerals (New Delhi) Pvt. Ltd. is actually located out on Odhav Road in Ahmedabad, at Plot No 611 and 612. Having two plots gives us a decent amount of room to move things around. Odhav is a very industrial area, so there are big trucks and trailers moving past the gates all the time. It gets quite dusty, especially when the wind picks up, so we’re always cleaning the office desks. Our setup is pretty basic—a large warehouse area and a small office block at the front. We spend most of our time out on the floor or dealing with shipments. The name says New Delhi, but this is where the actual work happens. It’s a long day for most of us, starting early to beat the worst of the Gujarat heat. We usually eat lunch together in a small shaded area we rigged up near the back. There isn't much to see around here except other factories and a few roadside stalls selling snacks and tea. We don’t have a corporate lobby with a receptionist. If someone shows up, one of us just walks over to the gate to see what they need. It’s a practical place for handling minerals and heavy equipment. We focus on getting the orders loaded and keeping the yard as tidy as possible. Most days are long, but we like the pace of the industrial zone.
