At Mehsana Steel Supplier, we’ve set up our shop in Thaltej, right across from B V Pharmaceutical. We are also quite close to the Sola Bridge, which is a major landmark for anyone trying to find us. Thaltej has grown a lot lately, and there’s always some new construction happening nearby. We deal with steel, so it’s not exactly a clean or quiet job. Our clothes usually have some rust or dirt on them by the end of the day. We don’t mind it much. It’s just how the business is. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or out in the yard checking the inventory. We aren’t a giant corporation with hundreds of employees. We’re just a local supplier trying to provide what the local projects need. Sometimes it gets stressful when several trucks arrive at once and there’s no room to move, but we figure it out. We don’t have a fancy mission statement or anything like that. We just show up in the morning, open the gates, and start working. The sun can be brutal in the afternoons here near the bridge, but we just keep going. People know where we are, and they know we just talk straight about what we can do. It’s a simple way of living and working in this part of Ahmedabad.
