Meera Metal Industries

Our workshop is over at Plot No. 134 in the GIDC area of Odhav. Being in an industrial estate means we are surrounded by other shops and factories, so it’s always loud with the sound of metal hitting metal. We’ve been at this plot for a long time. Metal work is what we do, and our hands are usually covered in grease or dust by the end of the shift. It’s a hot place to work, especially during the summer months when the sun beats down on the metal roof. We have a few machines that have been with us since we started, and they still run just fine if you know how to talk to them right. We don’t have any fancy reception area for visitors. If you come by, you’ll likely find us on the shop floor actually working on something. We deal with various metal parts and fabrication work. It’s not always pretty, and the floor is usually covered in scrap pieces, but that’s just how metalwork goes in a place like this. We take the orders as they come and try to get them out on time. Odhav is a tough area, and everyone here works hard. We are just one of many small industries trying to make a living. There aren't any big speeches here about what we do. We just turn on the machines in the morning and get to work until it's time to go home.
