We’ve been at B-116 in the Anna Fruit Market for a while now. Koyambedu is a busy place, especially in the mornings when the trucks arrive. Most days start long before the sun comes up. We handle all sorts of fruits that come in from different farms. It’s loud and crowded here, but that’s just how the market works. We spend our time checking the crates, making sure the quality is okay, and talking to the people who come by to buy stock. It isn’t a fancy office or anything. It's just a stall filled with boxes and the smell of fresh produce. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, or the transport is late, but we just deal with it as it happens. We know the other sellers around us and we’ve seen the market change over the years. Our spot is easy to find if you know the layout of the B block. People usually come to us because they know we are here every single day. We don't spend much time on the computer or doing paperwork, we're mostly on our feet moving stuff around. It is hard work and your hands get dirty, but it feels good to see the crates empty out by the end of the shift. That’s pretty much what life is like for us here at Md Fruits. We just keep things moving and hope for good weather.
