Maxon Steel Cast

Maxon Steel Cast is situated at C-1/6 in the GIDC area of Odhav. We are right opposite Ambicanagar, which is a good landmark if you are trying to find us for the first time. Odhav is known for its industrial roots, and we’ve been part of that for quite a while now. Casting steel is a messy, hot job, and our facility reflects that. We have the furnaces and the molds all set up in the main bay. It’s not the kind of place you’d want to wear a nice suit to. We spend our days melting metal and pouring it into shapes, and it takes a lot of patience to get it right. Sometimes a pour doesn't go perfectly and we have to start all over again, but that’s just the nature of the business. We have a small team of guys who have been doing this for a long time. They know the smell of the metal and when it’s ready just by looking at the color. Our office is just a small corner partitioned off from the main floor, mostly used for keeping the accounts and the orders straight. We don't have any grand statements to make about our work. We just cast the steel that people ask for and make sure it’s strong enough for whatever they are building. It’s a simple life of fire and metal here in Odhav, and we like it that way.
