Matoshree Medicose

Shop number 5 in Shyam Residency is where we set up. We’re in the Sola area, not too far from Manav Bungalow. It’s a nice enough neighborhood. Most of our customers are just people living in the apartments around here. They come in because they need something for a headache or some bandages. We keep the shelves stocked as best as we can. It’s a small shop, so if two or three people come in at once, it feels crowded. We know most of the people by their names since they’ve been coming here since we opened. There is a small counter where we keep the registers and the most common items. Sometimes we stay open a little later if someone calls and says they are on their way. The sidewalk outside usually has a few scooters parked on it. We don't have any big slogans or anything. We just keep the medicine in the right spots and make sure the fridge for the vaccines is always running. It’s a simple business. My brother helps me out on the weekends when it gets a bit busier. We spend a lot of time just waiting for the next person to walk through the door. It’s quiet work, but it suits us well enough. Most days are pretty much the same as the one before.
