Maruti Steelfeb

Our office is located at Number 297 within the Shubh Industrial Estate out in Kathwada. It’s a bit of a drive to get out here, but this is where all the industrial action happens. The estate is quite large and it can be a bit confusing to navigate if you aren't used to it. We handle a lot of steel fabrication work inside our unit, so there is always a lot of clanging and banging going on throughout the day. The office part is just a small room partitioned off from the main workshop area so we can hear ourselves talk when customers call. We usually have rolls of blueprints and piles of metal scraps lying around, as it’s a very hands-on environment. Kathwada is a busy area for this kind of work, and we fit right in with the other factories around us. The floors are rarely clean because of the iron dust, but that’s just how it goes in a steel shop. We spend our days measuring, cutting, and joining pieces together. Sometimes we stay late to finish up a job that’s behind schedule, especially when the machines act up. It’s not a glamorous job, but we take it seriously and just try to do right by the people who come to us. We’ve gotten used to the noise and the heavy lifting over the years, and the routine keeps us going through the week.
