Maruti Inv Steel Cast

Out here in Kathwada G.I.D.C., things are always moving and it gets pretty loud with all the industrial work going on around us. Our place is at Plot No. 401 on Road No. 10. If you know the G.I.D.C. area, you know how these roads are laid out. We do steel casting, so it’s a lot of heat and heavy materials every single day. It isn't the cleanest job, but someone has to do it. The workshop is where we spend all our time, making sure the molds are right and the metal is pouring like it should. We’ve got a decent sized plot, so there’s room for the trucks to come in and out, which is a big help because Road No. 10 can get cramped. We aren't trying to be the biggest foundry out there, just trying to do a solid job on the orders we get. The guys on the floor have been doing this for years, so they know the sounds of the machines better than anything else. It’s a lot of hard work and long hours, especially when we have a big batch to get through. We just stick to the schedule and try to keep the equipment running. It’s an honest way to make a living, even if we go home covered in dust most evenings. It just takes persistence and regular maintenance.
