Hrim Jewels

Hrim Jewels is tucked away on the 3rd floor of the Haveli Chamber. You have to walk up the stairs on MG Haveli Road, right in the Manik Chowk area. It is a busy part of town, so being up on the third floor gives us a bit of a break from the noise of the street. The building is an old haveli, so the rooms have high ceilings but the hallways are a bit narrow. We do all our work from here, looking over stones and talking to the craftsmen who come by. Manik Chowk is the heart of the jewelry trade, so we are right where we need to be. Most days are spent sorting through orders or checking the pieces we get. It isn't a flashy place. We have some old desks, plenty of lights so we can see what we are doing, and a lot of paperwork. Sometimes the climb up those three floors feels long at the end of a day, but it is fine. We have a good view of the roofs from up here. We have been here a while and know how the market works. We don't spend money on big ads or anything. We just let the work speak for itself and handle things one day at a time. It is a practical way to run a business in such an old part of the city.
