Swiss Overseas

We are based in the Madhupura Vepari Bhavan, right outside Delhi Gate. If you know the old part of the city, you know how narrow the lanes can get and how much activity there is in Old Madhupura. We are in unit 213. Swiss Overseas has been operating from this market for quite some time. It’s a traditional trading hub. We deal with various goods that come through the gates every day. The building is old and has a lot of character. We don't have fancy carpets or modern art. It’s a place for business, full of ledgers and samples. We spend a lot of time talking to other traders in the building. Everyone knows everyone else here. It’s a community. Sometimes the heat in the afternoon makes things slow down, but we keep going. We don’t use any special strategies to get customers. They know we are here and they know what we trade. It’s mostly about building a reputation over many years. We keep things very simple. We don't have a website that does much, we just prefer talking to people face to face or over the phone. It’s a noisy, dusty, but very real place to work. We like the history of the area. It feels like we are part of something that’s been going on for a long time. We just do our daily tasks and try to keep the business steady. Every morning we start with a quick cup of tea before the rush.
