We are located on Road Number 1 in the Kathwada GIDC area, which is part of the Odhav Industrial Estate. Being in an industrial zone means it is all business around here. There are trucks everywhere and the sound of machinery never really stops. Candy Foods Products Pvt Ltd is our operation, and we’ve been at this spot for quite some time. The building is a standard industrial shed, nothing fancy or decorative about it. Inside, we have our production lines running to keep up with the demand. It gets incredibly hot in Odhav, especially inside a factory with big cooking vats, but we are used to it by now. We do not spend money on glossy brochures or big PR campaigns. Most of our day is spent checking the quality of the candy and making sure the machines are greased and running right. It is a lot of hard work and long hours, but it is what we do. The office part of the building is small and mostly filled with ledgers and old files. We prefer being on the floor where the actual work happens. It is a gritty environment, full of steam and the smell of boiled sugar. We are just a regular company trying to make a living in a tough industrial neighborhood. We do not make excuses, we just get the product out to the distributors every single day without fail.
