Getting out to Sanand every morning takes some time, especially with the traffic on the Sanand Virangaum Highway. Our plots are 77, 78, 81, and 82, so it’s a decent amount of space to keep track of. Being in the Mahalaxmi Industrial Estate means we’re surrounded by other sheds and factories. It’s a lot of grey buildings and trucks. The highway is right there, so you always hear the big vehicles rushing past. We have several plots because we needed the room for the inventory and the machines. It’s not a quiet place. There is always something humming or clanking. Some days the wind kicks up the dirt from the empty lots nearby, and everything gets a layer of grit. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. It’s mostly just the work floor and a small area for the paperwork. We drink a lot of water because it gets dry out here in Sanand. The guys working the yard have their routine down. They know where every piece of equipment is kept across the four plots. It’s a bit of a walk from one end to the other. We’ve seen this area change a lot since the industrial estate started growing. More buildings keep going up. We just keep doing our thing at Macrocosm Metals & Energy Pvt. Ltd., day in and day out, watching the trucks go by.
