Maan Tradition

If you look for us, we are right above the Kalupur Commercial Bank in the Kirti Sagar building. It’s in Ushmanpura, which is a place most people around here know well. You have to walk up the stairs since we aren't on the ground floor. It can be a bit of a climb if you aren't used to it, but it's okay once you get inside. We deal with traditions here, mostly things that families have used for years and years. It’s not a big corporate setup. It’s just us and some racks of items. The bank downstairs always has people coming and going, so there is usually some noise from the street and the parking area below. We spend our days checking the stock and talking to people who drop by. Sometimes it gets quiet in the afternoons, and that’s when we do most of the sorting and cleaning. Ushmanpura has changed a lot since we first set up in Kirti Sagar, but we stayed put. We don't have a marketing team or anyone telling us how to speak to people. We just show visitors what we have and they decide if they want it. The light in the shop is okay, but we mostly rely on the big windows to see the colors clearly. It’s a simple life here. We open up in the morning, have our tea, and wait for the day to start properly. It's a good spot for us.
