M. M. Scrap Traders

M. M. Scrap Traders is located on Bajaj Street, over in Sone Ki Chawl in the Odhav area. We are very close to the local police station, which is the easiest way to find us if you’re new to the neighborhood. Our yard is filled with all kinds of scrap metal and materials we’ve collected. It’s a bit of a jumble, but there is a system to how we sort everything. Odhav is a rugged part of town with a lot of heavy labor going on. We start our day early to beat the worst of the sun. Once it gets to midday, the metal in the yard gets so hot you can hardly touch it. We have a few guys who help with the heavy lifting and loading the trucks. It’s dusty and physically demanding work, but it’s what we do. We don't have a fancy office or any air conditioning. Most of our business is done right there in the yard or at the gate. Sone Ki Chawl is a lively area, and there’s always something happening on Bajaj Street. We’ve seen many businesses come and go, but we’ve stayed put. People know us as the local scrap guys. We don't spend money on advertising or big signs. The work comes from being here every day and knowing the people in the trade. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living, and we just keep at it.
