Laxmi Iron Mart

Laxmi Iron Mart is located at Shop No. 6 in the Manu Panchal Estate, which is over in Amraiwadi. We are near the Mushpal Quarter and right across from the Torrent Power office. It’s a good spot because people use Torrent Power as a landmark to find us. We deal with iron and metal, so the shop is full of heavy stuff. It is not the cleanest work in the world, and our hands are usually stained by the end of the shift. We’ve been in Amraiwadi for several years, and we have seen the estate grow and change. There are a lot of small workshops around here, so there is always the sound of machines or hammering in the background. We don’t have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We just open the shutters in the morning and see who comes by. Sometimes we have to move big piles of iron to get to one specific piece a customer wants. It’s like a workout every single day. We try to keep our prices where they should be without any fuss. The office area is just a corner with a couple of chairs and a table for the account books. We prefer it that way because we’d rather be out where the metal is. It’s a steady life, and we are happy to be part of the Manu Panchal Estate community.
