L. D. Harbans Lal

If you walk down to Lal Kuan, you’ll find us at number 1908. The business goes by the name L. D. Harbans Lal. It’s an old part of the city, so the streets are narrow and there’s always a lot of people walking by. We’ve been in this same spot for a very long time. It’s a traditional shop, not one of those new modern places with glass walls. We sell various goods, mostly hardware and stuff like that. The shelves are packed pretty high and it can be a bit cramped when there are more than two or three customers inside. We know most of the people on the street by name. There isn’t a website or anything like that for us. We just open the doors in the morning and wait for people to stop in. Sometimes we sit on the stools outside when it’s quiet. The building is old and shows its age, but it’s solid. We don’t use any special sales tactics. If we have what you need, we tell you the price and that’s it. It’s how things have been done here for generations. Lal Kuan is a hectic place, especially in the afternoons, but we like the energy of it. We keep things simple and don't try to be something we're not. It’s just a local shop run by local people who have been around the block a few times.
