Krishna Metal Corporation (Manek Chowk)

We are Krishna Metal Corporation. You can find us in Vasan Bazar, which is inside the Manek Chowk area. Manek Chowk is famous for a lot of things, but we focus on the metal side of it. The shop is filled with all kinds of metal items. It is a very old part of the city. The lanes are narrow and it gets very hot in the summer, but the business never stops. We deal with various metal goods, mostly things people use in their homes or for their own work. It is a lot of lifting and moving heavy stacks around. My family has been in Manek Chowk for a long time. Vasan Bazar is where everyone comes when they need copper or brass or steel. Our shop is not much to look at from the outside. It is just a lot of metal piled up and a small space for me to sit and do the accounts. We do not have a website or fancy brochures. People know us through word of mouth or because they have been coming to Vasan Bazar for years. It is a loud place with the sound of metal clanging and people shouting, but I like the energy of the market. We open early when the market starts to wake up. We do not use any corporate talk here. We just show you the metal, tell you the price by weight or piece, and that is it. It is the traditional way of doing things and it works for us.
