Khan Fabrication

We are located near the Shahibaug area. It’s a good spot for a fabrication shop because people know where to find us without too much trouble. Our workshop is basically a big open space where we do all our cutting and welding. There is usually a pile of iron rods or metal sheets near the entrance waiting to be worked on. It gets very hot in the afternoons, especially when the welding torches are going, so we try to do the heaviest work in the early morning. The floor is covered in metal scraps and black dust, which is just part of the job. We have a couple of heavy workbenches that have seen better days, but they are solid and get the job done. Most of our tools are old but well-maintained because we trust them. We don't have a fancy office; there’s just a small wooden desk in the corner where we keep our receipts and a calendar. Neighbors from around Shahibaug often drop by just to say hello or ask if we can fix a small hinge or a gate. We try to help out when we can. It’s noisy and messy work, but there’s something good about making things with your hands. By the time we lock up at night, we’re tired and covered in grease, but the work is finished and ready for the next day. It is not always easy, but we have been doing this for years and know the metal well enough to get through any job that comes our way.
