Ketan Enterprise

Ketan Enterprise is a small shop located at No. 270 in Parmanands Chawl. We are right near Dudheshwar Road in the Shahpur area. It is one of those old-school spots where everyone knows their neighbor. The shop itself is not very big, so we have to be careful about how we stack things so we don't run out of room. Being in a chawl means there is always something going on outside the door, kids playing or people chatting while they go about their business. It can be quite loud, especially during the middle of the day when the Dudheshwar Road traffic is at its peak. We have been operating out of Shahpur for a good while, and we like the atmosphere here because it feels real. We open up early to beat the heat, and usually, the first thing we do is sweep the front step. The walls are a bit faded and the ceiling fan makes a clicking noise, but it works well enough to keep the air moving. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment, just what we need to run the enterprise and keep track of our customers. Most people who come in are regulars from around the neighborhood. We sit on small stools and talk about what they need for the day. It is a simple way to work, but it keeps us busy and we like being part of the community here. Every evening we close the shutters and head home through the narrow lanes.
