We’re based out of a flat in Shivam Apartments, right in the Dani Limda area of Ahmedabad. It’s on the ground floor, unit A/12, in Vaikunth Dham. If you know Dani Limda, you know it’s a very busy part of the city with a lot of traffic and people moving about. Our place is usually filled with people coming in to ask about passports or visas. The walls are covered with posters and calendars, and there’s always a stack of forms sitting on the main table. It’s not a big corporate office with glass doors. It’s a lived-in space where we do a lot of typing and talking. We spend a lot of time on the phone or explaining the same rules over and over again to different families. The fans are always humming because the Gujarat heat is no joke. Sometimes people bring their kids along, so it gets a bit noisy, but we don't mind. We’ve been doing this for a long time, so we know the local people and how things work at the offices. It’s a lot of paper work and waiting around for things to get approved. We just try to help folks get their documents sorted so they can go where they need to go. It’s a busy life, but it’s what we know.
