K. G. Textile

K. G. Textile is situated right on Road No. 8 at Plot No. 369/370 in the Gidc. Having two plots gives us a bit more room to breathe, which is good because textiles take up a lot of space. You can usually hear the hum of the machinery from the street. It’s not a quiet business. There is always the sound of looms or sewing machines going. The floors are often covered in little bits of thread and fabric scraps, no matter how much we sweep. We don't have a showroom with fancy lighting. If you want to see what we’re making, you just have to come into the workshop and look. It’s a bit messy and loud, but that’s just how a textile place is. We’ve been at this location for a good while, and we’ve seen the neighbors on Road No. 8 come and go. We stay busy with the orders that come in from around the area. We don't spend money on big ads or trying to look like a high-end fashion house. We’re just a textile unit doing the work. Some days the heat in the shed is a bit much, but we just keep the water cold and keep moving. It’s a practical way to earn a living. We value the people who work here because they know the machines better than anyone. We just keep our heads down and get the fabric out to whoever needs it.
