Gajanand Irrigation Industries

Our place, Gajanand Irrigation Industries, is situated on Plot No. 11 in the Tribhuvan Estate. This is part of the Kathwada GIDC on Road Number 8. We are easy to find because we are right opposite the Maruti Weigh Bridge. In fact, we see trucks on that weigh bridge all day long. We work with irrigation equipment, mostly pipes and fittings that farmers and contractors use to get water to their crops. Our yard is usually full of black coils and plastic parts. Kathwada is a bit on the outskirts, so it can get quite dusty and hot out here. We have a small team that handles the loading and the paperwork. We don't have a big marketing department or any corporate offices. It’s just a workshop and a storage area where we get things done. The road outside is always busy with industrial traffic. We’ve been at this plot for several years now and have gotten used to the rhythm of the GIDC. People come by when they need parts for their fields or a new pump system. We just show them what we have and load it onto their vehicles. It’s a simple, practical business. We don't use any fancy language to describe what we do; we just provide the tools for irrigation. It’s a lot of manual work and long days in the sun.
