We are located over in the Jay Somnath Society, which is tucked away near those Gopi Bungalows on Vastral Road. It’s a bit of a mix of residential and business around here in Ahmedabad. Our spot at A-20 is where we handle a lot of the local stuff for the paint business. It gets incredibly hot in the summer, so the shutters are usually halfway down to keep the sun out while we work. There’s always some construction going on nearby in Mahadevnagar, so the dust is a constant battle for us. We spend a lot of time checking orders and making sure the right colors are ready for whoever is coming to pick them up. It’s a busy road outside, and sometimes finding a place to park a delivery van is a total nightmare. Inside, it’s mostly just shelves and stacks of cans, with a small desk where the phone rings more than it probably should. We know the neighbors pretty well, and the guys from the nearby shops usually stop by for a chat during their breaks. It’s not a fancy corporate headquarters or anything like that. It’s just our local branch where we try to keep things organized. Sometimes we run out of the most popular shades and have to wait for the next truck, which makes for some long days explaining the delay to customers. But mostly, it’s just the usual routine of getting the orders out the door and keeping the shop going.
