Our office is tucked away in the Ambica Apartments in Maninagar, Ahmedabad. It is a residential area, so it’s not where you’d expect a steel business to be, but it works for us. We are at 1, Krishnakunj Society, and it’s been our base for quite a few years now. Most of our day is spent on the phone or handling paperwork for orders that go all over the city. Ahmedabad is a place where business is done on trust and long-term relationships. We aren't a massive factory; we are the people who make sure the right steel gets to the right place at the right time. It can be stressful when trucks are delayed or prices jump around, but we handle it. The office is small, and we share a lot of meals together at the main table. There is always a bit of incense burning in the corner in the morning. We don't have a big corporate hierarchy. If the phone rings, whoever is closest picks it up. We know the local builders and the small shop owners. We just want to do our part in the local economy without making a big fuss about it. It’s steady work, and it keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down. It might not look like a big operation from the outside, but we get things done.
