Down on Relief Road, things are always moving fast. Our place, Kalubhai Vazirbhai Lohar, is located in the Patharkuva area, tucked behind Jyoti Sangh. If you’ve ever been to this part of the old city, you know how narrow the lanes can be and how much energy there is. We are lohars, so our work involves a lot of heat and metal. You’ll usually hear the sound of someone working before you even see the shop. It’s a traditional kind of spot, not something you’d find in a new shopping mall. The walls are a bit dark from the forge, and there are tools everywhere. We've been here for a long time, following the same trade that’s been in the family for years. Relief Road is right there, so the main traffic is always buzzing, but once you step back into Patharkuva, it feels a bit different. We spend our days working with our hands, making things and fixing things for people who stop by. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until night. We don't have a website or anything like that; we just rely on people knowing where we are. If you need something made from iron or metal, you just come find us behind Jyoti Sangh.
