Umiya Steel Industries

Umiya Steel Industries is located at Plot No. 303 in Phase 1 of the GIDC in Chhatral. This part of Kalol is pretty active with all kinds of factories and workshops. We have been working with steel here for quite a while. The shop floor is where everything happens, and it stays pretty busy from the time we open up in the morning. Steel is heavy and hard to move, so we spend a lot of time just organizing the stacks and making sure everything is in the right place. We don't really have a marketing team or anything like that; it's just us doing the daily tasks. If you come by, you’ll likely hear the sound of metal being moved or the machines running. It’s not the quietest place to work, but we like the pace. Chhatral has changed quite a bit over the years, but our plot stays the same. We handle the orders as they come in and try to keep things moving so we don't get a backlog. Sometimes the weather makes the work harder, especially when it’s raining and we have to watch the inventory, but we manage. It is a practical business run by people who know their way around a steel yard. We don't make big promises, we just do the work that is asked of us every day.
