Our shop is at number 7 in the Gautam Estate, which sits on the Chakudia Mahadev Road in Rakhial. If you know the area, you know it’s a major hub for all kinds of industrial activity. We specialize in tubes of all sizes. The estate is always buzzing with activity, and our unit is usually packed with inventory from floor to ceiling. It can be a bit of a squeeze to get around inside sometimes. We have a small team of people who spend their time cutting tubes to size or getting bundles ready for shipping out. The road outside is always busy with rickshaws and lorries, so getting things delivered can be a bit of a headache during peak hours. We usually start early in the morning before the traffic gets too bad. It’s a lot of physical work, moving those heavy metal pipes around, but we’re used to it. We don’t have a website or anything like that; we just rely on people knowing we’re here in the estate. Most of our customers are local contractors who just need a few specific pieces for a job. We sit in the small corner office to handle the billing and drink tea. It’s a basic setup, but it gets the job done. We’ve been here for quite a while now and have seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years. We just keep doing our thing.
