Jm Steel

We have set up Jm Steel at Plot No.22 in Shubh Estate, which is right along the Singarva-Kathwada Road. It is an industrial area, so we are surrounded by other estates like Zaveri Estate. There is always a lot of heavy lifting going on here. The yard is usually full of steel in various shapes and sizes, and the sound of metal clanging is something you just get used to after the first few days. We spend a lot of time outside in the yard, checking the inventory and making sure everything is stacked safely. The sun can be pretty harsh on the Singarva-Kathwada Road, so we drink a lot of water and try to stay in the shade when we can. Shubh Estate is a busy place with trucks coming in and out at all hours, so you have to stay alert. We are not a big corporation with hundreds of employees; we are just a small crew that knows steel. We have been at Plot No.22 long enough to know where every piece of equipment is kept. We don't really have a philosophy or a grand vision; we just want to make sure the steel gets to where it needs to go. Sometimes the paperwork piles up on the desk, but we would much rather be out in the yard. It is a tough, gritty kind of job, but it is what we do and we are used to the pace.
