Jindal Saw Ltd

We are over in Yash Tower near the 100 Ring Road in Ahmedabad. It is a loud area. You can hear the trucks and cars all day long from the window. Being at D 52 is okay because we have enough space for the files and the two desks we use. The traffic on the ring road is a nightmare during the evening. Sometimes I just stay an hour late so I don't have to sit in it. The building itself is older. The stairs are narrow and the lift makes a weird clunking sound. But it gets us to the office. We usually get lunch from the little stalls near the corner. It's cheap and it's fast. Most of us here at Jindal Saw Ltd have worked together for a few years now. We know how each other takes their tea. It isn't a fancy corporate setup with glass walls. It's just a place to get the job done. We spend a lot of time on the phone with the other branches. The air conditioning works most of the time, which is good because Ahmedabad gets so hot. When the power goes out, we just open the windows and deal with the dust. It's just a regular office. We don't do anything flashy. Just work. People come by with deliveries and we chat for a bit. We don't bother with fancy meetings or mission statements. We just look at the schedule and get to it. That's the way it is here.
