J. K. Impex is run by Jigar Panchal, and it’s a pretty straightforward operation. Most of what we do involves the postal side of things, handling various bits of mail and packages that need to go out. It isn’t a huge company with hundreds of employees; it’s more about one person making sure the details are handled right. The office is full of stamps, envelopes, and logs of what went where. Jigar is usually the one you’ll see behind the desk, probably buried under a pile of forms or checking a tracking number. It’s the kind of work that requires a lot of patience because things don’t always move as fast as you want them to. We don’t go for anything flashy here. The walls are mostly bare, and the focus is entirely on the task at hand. It’s practical work. Sometimes the mail is late, or there’s a mix-up with an address, and we have to spend the afternoon sorting it out. That’s just part of the job. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or anything like that. We just show up and make sure the items we’re responsible for get to the right person. It’s been this way for a while now, and we’ve gotten into a rhythm that works. It’s just a small local business trying to do things correctly without making a big fuss about it.
