International Institute Of Design

You can find the International Institute Of Design on the third floor of the Skylon building. We are right across from Jahanvi Restaurant and the Passport Office on Panrapole Road. Being on University Road means we get a lot of students from the nearby colleges walking past. Our space is usually a bit of a mess, but in a good way. Since we do design, there are always scraps of fabric, sketches, and half-finished projects lying around on the tables. It is not the kind of place where everything is perfectly tidy because people are always working on something new. The light in the rooms is pretty good, which helps when people are drawing or trying to match colors. We have been here for a while, and the students who come through our doors are usually quite creative and focused on their own ideas. We don't have a corporate feel at all. It’s more like a workshop where people can sit down and actually make things. The walk up to the third floor is good exercise, and once you are here, it is a bit quieter than the street below. We just provide the tools and the space for people to learn how to design things, whether it is clothes or something else. It is a simple setup that works well for the people who come here. We just spend our days teaching and making things happen.
