Indo-American Chamber Of Commerce, Gujarat Branch

We are located over at 65, Kasturba Nagar Society in Saraspur. It's an older part of Ahmedabad, and we've been here for a while now. This branch deals with business between here and the US, which sounds big, but mostly it's just us talking to local business owners. We help them figure out how things work when they want to trade or connect with people overseas. The office is in a residential area, so it's quiet most of the time except when the neighbors are out. We have a lot of old files and books about trade laws that we look through. It’s not the fastest-paced place, but it’s important for the folks who need us. We drink a lot of tea and spend time on the phone. Sometimes people drop by just to see if we have any updates on trade news. We know the streets of Saraspur like the back of our hands. It’s a bit out of the way compared to the new parts of the city, but we like it that way. There’s a lot of history in this neighborhood. We try to keep things organized, even if the filing system gets a bit messy during busy months. It’s a steady job and we’ve made a lot of friends in the Gujarat business circle over the years. We just keep doing what we do. The windows in the office are a bit small, so it stays cool even when it’s hot outside. We’ve got an old clock on the wall.
