Hetu Beauty Parlour

Our place, Hetu Beauty Parlour, is tucked away in Ratna Popats Chawl. We are right behind the Sangam Society area in the 380001 part of Ahmedabad. It is a more traditional neighborhood, not like the big malls or main roads. You have to know where you are going to find us, but most of the locals know the way. The shop is small and simple. It is basically just a room where we do beauty work for the women around here. We do not have a big sign or anything flashy. It is a quiet spot compared to the main streets. We have been here for a while and most of our customers are our neighbors or people who live just a few streets over. We do the basic stuff like threading and hair work. It is a very informal environment. We talk while we work and people often stay for a bit to chat even after they are done. The space is modest, with just the necessary equipment. It is not corporate at all. We just keep things running the way they have always been. Sometimes the power goes out or it gets a bit hot in the summer, but we just keep going. It is an honest little business in the heart of the chawl. People come to us because we are close by and they know who we are. It is a small operation, but it keeps us busy most days of the week.
