Our salon is over in Ambawadi on IIM Road. We are in Block B of Shivalik Plaza, specifically shops 1 and 2 on the ground floor. It’s a pretty good location because we are right opposite the AMA Centre and near Panjra Pole. Being on the ground floor makes it easy for people to just walk in without having to deal with stairs or elevators. We have been in this part of Ahmedabad, 380006, for quite some time now. The shop is usually buzzing with the sound of clippers and people chatting. We have different sections for different services, but it all flows together in one space. It’s not a quiet library here; it’s a working salon with plenty of activity. We get a mix of students from the nearby institutes and professionals who work in the surrounding offices. The ground floor units at Shivalik Plaza stay pretty busy throughout the day. We try to keep things simple and just focus on the hair and skin work we have in front of us. There are always bottles of product on the shelves and mirrors that need cleaning after a busy shift. We just go about our business, making sure each person is taken care of before they head back out into the Ambawadi traffic. It is a straightforward operation and we like it that way. No big fuss, just a local shop doing its thing day in and day out on IIM Road.
