H. R. Furniture

H. R. Furniture is right there in Krishna Complex, shop number four. Being so close to the Memco Char Rasta means there is always noise from the Naroda Road traffic. You can hear the horns and the buses all day long. We are right near the SBI, which makes it easy for people to find us when they are out doing their banking. Most of the time, the floor is covered in a bit of dust because that is just how it is when you are working with furniture. We spend a lot of time moving things around to make space for new pieces coming in. It gets a bit cramped in here when we have a lot of stock, but we manage to find a corner for everything. Usually, it's just a few of us here. One of us handles the customers while the others are busy in the back or out for a delivery. The tea stall nearby is where we usually take our breaks when things get slow in the afternoon. People from the neighborhood often drop in just to see what’s new or to ask about a specific table or chair they saw last week. We don’t have a website or anything like that, just the physical shop. It’s a bit old-fashioned, maybe, but it’s been working for us. We just try to keep things simple and handle the work as it comes in.
