Gujrat Mineral Development Corporation

The Gujrat Mineral Development Corporation has a presence here at Bx-1 in the GMDC Colony. We are located in S.K.Varma Nagar, and it is a place where most of us both work and live. This isn't like a typical city office; it feels more like a small community focused on the minerals and the earth. You will see a lot of company vehicles parked around, and the talk at the local tea stalls is usually about the latest shifts or the production numbers. Our office space is functional and a bit old-fashioned, with wooden desks and heavy filing cabinets that have been here for decades. There is a lot of dust because of the nature of the work, and you can see it dancing in the light coming through the windows. We deal with the logistics of mining and the development of the local resources. It involves a lot of map reading and coordination with the workers out on the sites. We aren't here to make things sound better than they are; it is tough, dusty work that requires a lot of patience. The colony is quiet in the evenings, and we all know each other. It is about keeping the operations moving and making sure the materials get where they need to go. We just take it one day at a time, handling the paperwork and the people.
