The sound of the whistle is basically our background music all day long. We have been in this apartment for a while now. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze with all the folders and project plans we have lying around, but we make it work. Consulting isn't always glamorous, it’s a lot of sitting at a desk and checking over details to make sure everything is right. The building is an older one, so it has that lived-in feel to it. We don't have a big staff, just a few people who know their way around the paperwork. Usually, there is a pile of mail on the front table and the smell of coffee or tea in the air. Ahmedabad summers are really tough, so we mostly keep the curtains drawn to stay cool. We aren't the type of place with a glass front or a secretary sitting at a desk. If you come by, you’ll probably just see us hunched over our work. We know the shopkeepers nearby and often go out for a quick snack at the stalls near the crossing. It is just a regular office where we put in our hours and try to keep things organized for the clients who come to us.
