Government Science College

This college is part of the Padmashree K K Shastri Educational Campus on Khokhara Road. If you are coming from Khokhara Mehmadabad, it is a pretty easy find here in Ahmedabad. The campus is large, and there are several different buildings around us. It is a government-run place, so things are pretty straightforward and functional. The labs have been used by a lot of students over the years, and you can tell by the way the equipment looks. We spend a lot of time dealing with paperwork and lab schedules. It gets very hot in Ahmedabad during the summer months, and the stone floors in the corridors help a little, but the ceiling fans are always on full blast. Students are usually seen sitting under the trees between their science lectures. It is not a place with a lot of extra decorations. We have the usual labs for chemistry and physics, and they are always busy. The hallways have that specific smell of old books and lab chemicals. People come here from all over the city because it is an established spot. We just go about our business, setting up experiments and grading papers. It is a plain, hardworking environment where the focus is just on the subjects. There is a lot of walking involved because the campus is spread out, but everyone gets used to it eventually.
