Gopal Iron & Steels Co. (Guj.) Limited

Working out of Plot No. 1301/2 in Phase-3 of the G.I.D.C. Vatva area means we are right in the middle of all the industrial action. Gopal Iron & Steels Co. (Guj.) Limited has been here for a while now, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change as more units opened up around us. We deal with iron and steel, which is heavy, dirty, and requires a lot of physical effort to move around. Our yard is usually full of stock, and there is always a crane or a forklift moving something from one side to the other. It gets pretty noisy with all the clanging of metal, but you get used to it after a week or two. The guys here don't talk much during the heavy lifting because you have to stay focused on what you’re doing. We mostly just stick to the schedule and try to get the trucks loaded before the sun goes down. The office is just a small space where we keep the books and handle the billing, nothing special to look at. We drink a lot of water because the heat in Vatva can be brutal in the summer months. It's a basic operation. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements; we just rely on the fact that people know where to find us when they need steel. It is honest work, even if it leaves you tired at the end of the day.
